Initial Idea:
Montclair Art Museum is among the first museums dedicated to the study and creation of significant Native American Art collection. Since their expansion in 2001, they expanded their programming, permanently displaying Native Arts and Artifacts and American paintings. I was inspired by the geometric patterns in Native American Arts for this logo design.
Logo ideas generation:
I took the shape and replicated it into many versions. I played around with the fonts, size while manipulating the shape in the most subtle way.

Final Logo:
The first design stood out the most to me because the museum seemed like it is providing a safe space to Native American Art. While the meaning of the colors differ across various Native American Tribes, I chose the combination of green and red. Green to represent freedom, growth and Red to represent victory and courage.
